The Federation of Uganda Salons and Beauty Professionals (FUSPro), under the visionary leadership of CEO Kamanyire Celestine, has conducted a practical training session aimed at empowering beauty professionals with modern shampoo mixing skills. The session focused on improving salon service quality, product consistency, and customer satisfaction across Uganda’s beauty industry.
Empowering Salons with Professional Product Knowledge
The interactive workshop brought together salon owners, hairstylists, and trainees from different districts to learn the science behind shampoo formulation and proper mixing ratios for various hair types. According to Ms. Kamanyire Celestine, many beauty practitioners use products without understanding their chemical balance — a gap FUSPro is determined to close through continuous professional development.
“When you understand what you are mixing and why, you provide safer and more effective services to your clients,” noted CEO Kamanyire Celestine during the session. “Our goal is to professionalise every aspect of the beauty business — from product handling to customer care.”
Hands-On Learning for Real Salon Application
Participants were guided on:
- Identifying quality shampoo bases and additives
- Measuring and mixing using the right proportions
- Maintaining hygiene and safety standards during preparation
- Creating client-specific blends for different scalp and hair conditions
The training emphasised that knowledge of proper mixing techniques reduces product wastage and enhances client trust in salon services.
FUSPro’s Ongoing Commitment to Excellence
As part of its ongoing skills-development agenda, FUSPro continues to collaborate with beauty schools, product manufacturers, and government bodies to raise professional standards in Uganda’s beauty and wellness sector.
This training is one of many initiatives spearheaded by the federation to empower women, youth, and salon entrepreneurs with technical and business management skills.
